Step by Step Unlocking Instructions

Please choose the make and model of your phone

Blackberry Torch 9800
1. Go to options, device settings, advanced system settings, simcard
2. Type in mepd using the keyboard (nothing will show on screen)
3. Type in mep2 another screen pops up for the code
4. Enter the code, remember you ONLY have 10 chances to get it right
5. Press the enter key

Blackberry 8800 and 8300 Curve
1. A SIM card must be in the phone during this process (this can be either active or inactive SIM).
2. Go to Settings, then Menu, and then Options. Select Advanced Options, and then slect SIM card.
3. Using your keyboard, type in MEPD (Note, you will not see the text you type in).
4. Type in MEP and press the ALT key on the keyboard. Again, you will not see this text.
5. A message “Enter Network MEP Code” will display. Type in the unlock code and press the track wheel button/jog dial to confirm.

BlackBerry 8310
1. A SIM card must be in the phone during this process (this can be either active or inactive SIM).
2. Go to Settings, then Menu, and then Options. Select Advanced Options, and then slect SIM card.
3. While holding down the ALT key, type in MEPD using the keyboard (Note, you will not see this text).
4. A message “Enter Network MEP Code” will display. Type in the 16 digit unlock code and press the track wheel button/jog dial to confirm.

BlackBerry 8100 Pearl
***NOTE: there are several options for entering the code on this mode. If none work, please call or email us for help.
1. With current SIM in the phone, turn off the Wireless (to turn off the Wireless, on the main menu, scroll down to Turn Wireless OFF, and press Select).
2. Insert the new SIM card and turn off the radio (Turn Wireless Off).
3. Go to Options, select “Advanced Options,” then select “SIM card.”
4. Using your keyboard, type in MEPPD (note, you will not see this text).
5. Type in MEPP and press the ALT key, then press 2 (again, you will not see any of this on the screen).
6. Enter the unlock code and press Enter. To complete the process, reboot your phone.

***Alternate instructions, if above fails:
1. Press the BlackBerry key on the Home screen, and select Options, Advanced Options, then SIM card.
2. Using your keyboard, type in MEPPD (note, you will not see this text while typing).
3. Type in MEPP2 (Press ALT and 2 simultaneously for number 2). Again, you will not see this.
4. A dialog box asking for unlock code should appear. Type in the unlock code and press trackball key once.
***NOTE: If in Step 2 or 3 do not work, while holding down the shift key, type in MEPPD

***Alternate instructions, if above fails:
1. With or without the SIM card in the phone, go to Options, Advanced Options, then SIM card.
2. Type in MEPP2 (Press ALT and 2 simultaneously for number 2).
3. You will be prompted to “Enter Network MEP code.” Enter the unlock code and press Enter. A confirmation message, “Code Accepted,” should be displayed.
4. Reboot your phone and insert the new SIM card.

Blackberry 8700
1. The SIM must be present in the phone . Make sure a “low battery” warning is not being displayed.
2. Go to Settings, Options, Advanced Options, then SIM card.
3. Type MEPD (you will not see this text).
4. If the phone says “Network Active,” hold down the ALT key and type in MEPE.
5. You should see “Enter Network MEP code,” type in the unlock code and press the jog dial to confirm.

BlackBerry 7100 and 7130
1. Click the Tools icon on the Home screen. Select the Settings icon, then SIM card. You should see the phone number and SIM ID number.
2. Type MEPP2 (press the ALT key then “2” to get the number 2 – you will not see any of this on the screen).
3. Type in the unlock code and press the jog dial once. BlackBerry 5xxx, 6xxx, 7xxx (except 7100) 1. Go to Options and select SIM card. 2. Type in MEPD (Note, you will not see the text you type in). 3. If the phone says “Network Active,” hold down the ALT key and type in MEPE. 4. Type in the unlock code and press the jog dial key to confirm.

Blackberry 9000, 9500, 9530
1. With SIM card present, select “Manage connections,” then “Turn all connections off”
2. Press Escape to get to Home screen. Go to Options, Advanced Options, then SIM card.
3. Select "Show keyboard," and while holding down the ALT key, type MEPD (you will not see this text).
4. You will see Personalization menu. Hold down the ALT key again and type MEP2.
5. When “Enter Network MEP Code” appears, type in the unlock code. Press the trackball once and restart your phone by following Step 1.

BlackBerry Storm (***NOTE: For VERIZON Storm, see below)
1. With the SIM card present, turn off all wireless connections.
2. Go to Options, Advanced Options, then SIM card.
3. Select Menu, and Show Keyboard.
4. Enter MEPD (you will not see this text), then enter MEP2.
5. When prompted to enter Network MEP code, type in the unlock code, and press Enter.

VERIZON BlackBerry Storm
1. With the current SIM card in the phone, go to Manage Connections, and select to Turn Off All Connections.
2. Go to Options, Status and input required info into Guarded Link to retrieve the unlock code.
3. Go back to Options, then select Advanced Options, SIM card.
4. Type MEPD (no text will appear). Then type in MEP2.
5. When prompted to enter the MEP code, type in the unlock code.
6. Reboot the device, then go to Manage Connections and select Restore Connections.

BlackBerry models not listed above
1. Go to Settings, and select SIM card.
2. While holding down the SHIFT key, type in MEPD (you will see the five locking categories listed).
3. Hold down the SHIFT key again, and type in MEP2.
4. When prompted to enter the Network MEP code, enter the unlocking code and press Enter.

BlackJack unlocking instructions

i607 (Cingular)
1. Turn the phone off and remove the SIM card.
2. Turn the phone on and when done booting, enter #7465625*638*CODE
***NOTE: If you are unable to connect to service provider, make calls or receive messages (which is not related to your phone being locked), you need to change the GSM mode, by following these steps:
1. Turn the phone on and enter *#1546792*#
2. Select Option 3 - Network & Call Settings, then select Option 5 – Network Mode, and select GSM.
*Some BlackJack phones require the Original SIM to be in the phone for unlocking. If you are having issues, Try it with and without the original SIM card inserted!

i617 BlackJack (AT&T - BlackJack II)
1. Turn off the phone and insert accepted SIM card.
2. Turn the phone of and enter #7465625*638*
3. Enter the 8 digits unlock code
4. Press "OK" Softkey (not the Send or OK hard key)
5. Turn the phone off and reinsert SIM card.

Motorola unlocking instructions

L6i & L7i (***but not L6 and L7, without the "i")
1. Press and hold "*" key by dialing code 787090
2. The mobile displays: "Menu. Network"
3. Choose 'yes' and press OK.
4. You will be prompted to enter the unlock code. Enter the code we provided to you and press Send button.

All Other Motorola models
Remove your working SIM card and insert the SIM card you would like to use on your phone. You will be prompted for a subsidy password. You should enter the unlock code we provided.

Unusual messages – what to do
In rare instances, you might see on of these messages:
• Contact Service Provider
• Tamper Alter
• Wait before enter special Code
If after inserting your new SIM card one of these messages is displayed, leave your phone on for about 1 to 3 hours with this message screen displayed the entire time. Do not touch change the screen pr press any buttons. Eventually, the message should change to "Enter subsidy password", and you can then enter the unlock code.

Sony Ericsson unlocking instructions

Sony Ericsson (any model)
1. Take out the SIM card and turn the phone on. If the below doesn’t work, try with the SIM inserted.
2. Press the Left Arrow once, “*” twice, and again the Left Arrow once.
3. When 'Personalize with MNC2' will appear, enter the unlock code.
***NOTE: If your phone has a 'JOGDIAL' (Sony Ericsson K700i) you must press 'Down arrow' instead of 'Left arrow' in step 2 (press the jog dial down).

Sony 350a
1. With the original SIM card in, press the joystick LEF once, press “*” twice, and again the joystick LEFT once.
2. Phone will say “Personalize with MNC2” or “MNC3”
3. Wait approximately 5 seconds. The display will show “Network” and a picture of closed padlock.
4. Press Select. The display will show “Unlock (Net) 5” and “NCK:”
5. Enter the unlock code. You should see “Network Unlocked: and a prompt to insert SIM.
